I absolutely love my class with Juli !! I was a bit worried about the height at first but she made me feel super comfortable, and made sure everything was safe before proceeding to the next move!

I felt so relaxed after the class and will definitely do it again!!

Connie makes amazing cocktails, and she’s such a welcoming hostess.

Circus team: absolute best ever..!! Instructors Silver, Sara, Alicia, & Ovi are incredibly skilled and super supportive. Silver allowed me to choose my own tricks, and to practice one-hand launches, and best of all - to join the 11.40am catch sessions as the 5pm catch sessions were cancelled for various reasons during my visit. On my final day at ClubMed Bintan, Silver, Sara, and Alicia supported me for a catch session even though I was the only person doing it. Unbelievable kindness and dedication!

Silver also showed me how to protect my hands from blisters using athletic tape (long strips looped around middle fingers and taped around wrists, instead of simply taping around palm) – and this enabled me to trapeze for consecutive days without any pain whatsoever.

I’ve been flying at various ClubMeds and circus schools around Asia and Europe for over a decade, and this circus team is the absolute best I’ve ever encountered. Silver and his team coached me with utmost care & thoroughness at every stage, ensuring my safety whilst challenging me so that I had the most fantastic time..!

Reception team: Extremely responsive and helpful via Whatsapp. I reported a shower door defect, and requested a room clean and fresh towels in the evening. Maintenance team and housekeeping both attended immediately.

Recent renovation: Rooms are now properly luxurious, with high quality skin and hair care products, including lotion and shower gel just for children. Bed linen, pillows, and mattress all top quality – ensuring blissful sleep.

Main restaurant and Terrace: The food is simpler than before, with no more free wine. But this is an excellent trade-off for the vastly improved rooms and amenities.

Aerial yoga: My sole negative experience at ClubMed Bintan on this trip. The instructor, Julie, was just dreadful. She refused to allow back-to-back classes (Beginner & Intermediate) even though I had been allowed to register for both classes. She claimed that students would be “too tired and injure themselves”. Even though it was clear to her that the beginner class was way too easy for me, and I assured her I wasn’t tired in the slightest. The following day I booked the intermediate class, alongside 3 other students. Julie looked irate that we even showed up, continued chatting with random guests there to observe, and started our class late with no apologies. She then instructed us to a series of poses that involved full splits on both sides. None of us came close to doing it, yet she just kept insisting that we “just do it” because “it’s very easy!!”. After several minutes of Julie urging us to get into poses that would literally tear our muscles, I asked her to teach us something that we can actually do. She replied resentfully, “This is the usual Intermediate course. I don’t know what else to teach you.” Then she very reluctantly showed us another long and complicated series of poses which took about 7 minutes of talking at each person – whilst the others just had to hang around and wait their turn. I gave up and just walked out. Julie is either wholly incompetent as an instructor (good instructors can always read the room and safely challenge students, whilst ensuring that everyone has fun), or she is severely overworked and underpaid (my guess) – and just wanted to ensure no one ever signs up for her intermediate class again so she can get some rest. ClubMed Bintan, please pay Julie more and work her less, so she can perform her best.

We had a fantastic stay at Club Med Bintan Island. The resort was beautiful, the activities were great, and there was always something to do.

A special thank you to our GO, Lani, who made our trip even better. She was so welcoming, friendly, and always went out of her way to make sure we were having a great time. She is a real asset to the Club Med team.

We had an amazing holiday and can't wait to come back!
